A pedestrian accident occurred where an individual was struck and killed on a California roadway. The accident occurred on the shoulder of a highway at around 4:30 a.m.

Just prior to being struck and killed, the pedestrian had been involved in a minor crash and had pulled his vehicle over to the side of the road. As the pedestrian got out of his car to examine the damage, he was then struck by a Prius. The pedestrian was then subsequently struck by a number of other vehicles after the original collision occurred. The driver responsible for the original collision then fled the accident scene in the Prius.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the pedestrian's body lying under one of the other vehicles that struck him. The police are now looking for the dark blue Prius that likely sustained front-end damage as a result of striking the pedestrian.

What has occurred will leave the family of the deceased in a quandary. The deceased was only 27-years old and the family is likely in shock. They will probably now need to hire an attorney just to help them cope with circumstances. They do not know who was responsible for the accident occurring or how they are now going to pay for the funeral and other expenses that will accompany such an accident.

On our interstate highway system and in California nobody is going to be surprised by what occurred. We have too much traffic on the road and too many people that are willing to leave the scene of an accident rather than render aid and risk paying the possible consequences for what had occurred. Hopefully, the responsible party will be found.
